Today has been an odd day. My husband has been ill all week with flu like symptoms. Children started coughing this am. Kept them off school and finally managed to persuade him to phone GP. They took hours to reply and decided that he probably didn't have it (no temperature) but they'd prescribe him Tamiflu in case he got a temperature. So I'm still slightly in limbo but will probably continue normal life tomorrow unless anything changes.
